Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 small onion - chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic - crushed
  • 4 large tomatoes - diced
  • 1 green pepper - diced
  • 1 red pepper - diced
  • 2 tbsp. hot sauce
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • small pinch cinnamon
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
Instructions
  1. Add oil to a pot and heat on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 3 minutes, stirring often.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook on a low flame, covered, for 30 minutes. Stir every 5 minutes.

1 cup counts as 1 dinner side
